THE BEST MASCARA

Few beauty items are quite as personal as mascara. Why? Because several factors come into play when finding one that you can’t put down. Lash type, desired look, formulation, and more will play a role in dictating whether a mascara suits your wants and needs. But with a massive number of mascaras available on the market, it can be challenging to find the very best options.
Mascaras have come a long way. Years ago, it was hard to find mascara that didn’t clump or end up running down your cheek by days end. Today there are so many that are wonderful.

Some of the best:

  1. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

    . $28 at Nordstroms.

This is considered the best for 2023. What is so wonderful.

  • Hourglass shaped brush.
  • No smudging or flaking.
  • Easy to remove.

It promises to deliver intense black volume while lengthening,             curling and separates the lashes – and it delivers.

  1. Tarte Tartelette Tubing Mascara. $25 at Ulta

What is so wonderful:

  • Long-lasting and smudge resistant.
  • Narrow wand makes application easy.
  • Easy to remove.

Tubing mascara is excellent for creating elongated lashes – and this one delivers on that and more. The formula creates “ tubes” that wrap around each lash to separate, define, and lengthen.

  • Uoma Beauty Drama Bomb Extreme Volume Nourishing Mascara. $20 at Ulta

What is so wonderful.

  • Provides intense volume.
  • Long wand makes coating every lash easy.

Delivers dramatic results. The formula contains nourishing ingredients like avocado oil, castor oil, jojba oil and a blend of vegan waxes to keep the lashes hydrated, prevent breakage and add volume.

Drugstore Buy:

L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara. $9.00 Amazon

My all-time favorite  L’Oréal’s Voluminous Mascara comes out on top. “I’ve been using this mascara forever and it’s a staple in my kit,”. “It’s super-black and adds incredible volume and curl, and never clumps or flakes.” On top of the aspects, the brush, which is the perfect size, shape, and density to still be able to reach those tiny lashes in the inner and out corners of the eyes. Another bonus is the gentle, non-abrasive formula. It doesn’t irritate even the most sensitive eyes. You can do one swipe for a natural look, or you can do multiple coats for more drama.  While Carbon Black is the most popular shade, Black Brown can deliver a softer effect. It provides clump-free lashes, it doesn’t run, and it’s easy to control.

Have a great week,

Elaine
